Closet Experience

When we first went to Cato, Arkansas in August 1961 we lived in two Sunday School rooms of the church.  There were five of us girls at the time, Debra-six, Rhonda-five, Sherlyn-three (Is that right, Sherlyn?) and Juanetta-one, and I was eight. Angela was born the following year, there at Cato. We five girls slept in a full-size bed and Dad and Mom slept in the kitchen/living room/bedroom.

A family came to visit us and when they heard Dad teach the plan of salvation the lady said it was different than she had been taught. She was a Sunday School teacher in a trinity church and had never heard that there was only One God nor about being baptized in Jesus Name. Before they left she asked for the scriptures that show the way.

The next service night the family were in service and asked to be baptized in Jesus Name. They said that the lady had taken her Bible into the closet and prayed for two days asking God to help her see what was the truth.
